This book was fabulous! I called and spoke to Lloyd Wright who was sincere and down to earth. He has done the research for us and I am going to start his program very soon now. This book is informative and offers hope for hep c sufferers who are looking for an alternative to interferon that has been tested and found to work.God bless Lloyd for sharing this with all of us. He has done his homework and hopefully, this program of supplements and lifestyle change will work for those of us who try it. I was ready to try ozone therapies which I read were effective but this program is cost effective.Good luck to anyone who reads and tries this natural approach to get rid of a very serious virus!

I can absolutely relate to the author's illness and desperation, because I'm where he used to be. HCV is manageable up to a point, but after that point, one begins asking if it's not time to choose between quality of life and quantity of life. Those of us who have failed to slay the dragon by conventional means have very little hope, unless you want to call "hoping" for liver cancer in order to get a transplant a viable option. It's that, or sit around and wait to die.I've met one individual who has beat the virus using this method, and while I've always pooh-poohed alternative therapies, I've come to the comclusion that "modern medicine" isn't all it's cracked up to be. This book gives me hope--not necessarily that I can eradicate the disease (although that would be wonderful), but that I can live a relatively normal and healthy lifespan.In some cases, conventional medicine only offers a 30% cure rate for HCV. The treatment is extremely rigorous and there's no guarentee at all there's a pot of gold at the end of this ugly 24 to 48-week long rainbow. It's all a crap shoot. This author offers another method, and if it only works as often as conventional treatments, it's worth looking into.I urge anyone who has HCV or knows someone with this awful disease to buy the book and read it. Even if you choose not to follow this method, it'll be there waiting when "modern medicine" boots you out the door and slams it shut because there's nothing left to do.

if you have hep c get treatment now. If you can't afford the treatment either go to India for treatment or take a chance with an online pharmacy and get the medicine. I have read that the medicine is less than $2000.00. It's a shame that American pharmacies are ripping us off for lifesaving medicine.

I found the book very insightful and quite helpful as I search for information to treat and eradicate hepatitis C. The author was very clear on what didn't work and the turmoil and hell he went through in battling this dreaded killer disease. Reading the book offers tremendous hope and a real sense that hepatitis C can be cured! Grammatically it could use some corrections but those are overlookedin light of the information and hope gained.

This is an awesome book that gives you insight into the fact that there are alternative ways to treat hepatitis C. The conventional methods are very destructive to the human body, I know I have seen a number of friends of mine take the interferon and how much it has aged them over the years. Also the fact that supplements can truly make a huge difference especially milk thistle. Anyhow I recommend this book to anybody who's looking for an alternative means instead of these highly destructive methods that the FDA and doctors are pushing.

I believe this book should have been proofread before production because some of the material has nothing to do with Hepatitis C(i.e., his girlfriends drinking habits and misc sex info that was not necessary). However the book information seems possible but it seems like there is too many pills/potions and misc stuff to take and the patient will go broke trying all this stuff. If the book could be rewritten with more specific items that actually made the cure or put them in stages and rate on which really helped. I realized what is good for one person may not be good for another. I'll put this book on my library shelf for possible future research needs.

All these disciplines converge to study of tissue dynamics that coordinate tissue repair, replacement, and reconstruction. These are procedures and therapies in which cells themselves act as the therapeutic agents. This book on tissue engineering is the first textbook in this field and it offers the convergence of important fundamental concepts in biology, engineering, medicine, and biotechnology. These diverse concepts are carefully organized and laid out in a clear framework to orient students entering the field. This framework includes four parts: Part I: Quantitative Cell and Tissue Biology—Including tissue organization, tissue dynamics, morphogenesis, stem cells, cellular fate processes, and their coordination. Tissue engineering holds the promise to repair or replace damaged organs. As a discipline, the field has evolved dramatically from its origins in the late 1980s. In particular, the rapid advances in stem cell biology have rekindled the enthusiasm use cell-based approaches for the treatment of disease. For success in this area, must learn to manipulate, produce, and deliver collections of cells as building blocks of tissues. Transplanted cells and tissue constructs are influenced by their microenvironment and can be manipulated to effectively interact with patients. The underpinnings of tissue engineering are thus broad, and span a wide spectrum of scientific and engineering fundamentals. This list includes basic biological sciences (cell biology, physiology, embryology, and wound healing); engineering fundamentals (fluid dynamics, transport phenomena, materials science, mechanics, and chemical kinetics); many clinical aspects (surgery and transplantation, immunology, pathology, radiology, and medicine), and various relevant biotechnologies (cell culture, cell separation, and gene transfer). This long list of specialized knowledge makes it challenging to organize all the necessary background material for the student of tissue engineering in a clear and succinct manner. In writing this book, we aimed to lay the foundation for students studying tissue engineering at both the undergraduate and the graduate level. We have attempted to provide a conceptual framework that includes exposure to all of the necessary background material. Thus, we cannot treat any particular subject in great detail but rather can provide the needed conceptual background in all areas. Instructors will find this text to be a useful framework since it is amenable to augmentation based on the instructors area of expertise and desired focus of a course in tissue engineering. The text is written primarily for senior bioengineering students or first-year graduate students and assumes a working knowledge of the engineering fundamentals. In this spirit, we have provided a series of engineering-style homework problems and solutions in order to allow students to work through the concepts presented. Nonetheless, we also hope that the text will be useful to traditional engineering students, material scientists, medical students, laypeople, and biologists. We have chosen to present the material in four parts: quantitative cell and tissue biology, cell and tissue characterization, engineering methods and design, and clinical implementation. Throughout the text, we have emphasized relevant time and length scales of physicochemical processes in cell biology and medicine. Armed with these fundamentals, we seek to have students establish a conceptual framework within which to place further advances in the field. Many societal and technical challenges still remain for the field to move forward, and we have highlighted these to the extent possible. Writing a textbook like this one is a significant undertaking. There are many individuals and organizations to thank for helping us with various aspects of the writing process. This text book was nothing I expected. The topics are not explained in detail. There are lot of mathematical models, but they are not explained at all! The content is hard to follow and definitely not suitable to undergraduate students. They assume that the reader already knows lot of the topics and the mathematical equations, so I do not see why the authors expected people to even buy the book!!

This book is not a hard read, yet it is still useful and up-to-date as a college level introduction to tissue engineering

This book is very useful for those already familiar with HIV/AIDS, and for those who want to know.The book does get technical, of course. Immunology is very complicated as-is, and HIV/AIDS is complicated as well with how it attacks the immune system.The book gets some important details out there about how HIV is spread and how it can be contracted, thus clearing up some of the myths of the disease. Therefor the book is useful for medical and biology students as well as the everyday person. It may take a couple reads to understand some of the concepts--it did for me, at least--but the time is worth it.

Would have been better if a whole page was displayed at the same time, instead I had to press next three times just to read one page.

I picked up a copy of this book for $3.95 not to long ago, I thought it was a good price and there were a lot of customer reviews. I always have the option of a refund if I don’t think the book lived up to its promise.Overall, I picked up some helpful tips that I want to try out this coming weekend, --weather permitting. I do mostly landscape and outdoor photography, trying to “capture the moment” on my frequent camping and fishing trips. I want to get better pictures, as what I usually end up with are images with blown out sky and clouds, you know, not much in the way of details. Everything else is dark and also without much detail.For a book that is roughly 75 pages, there is a lot of information, well worth the $3.95 IMHO. Unless you’re a pro, you can’t go wrong picking up a copy of this book.

I purchased this book as I was waiting on the delivery of my first DSLR. It is only a couple hours reading and very concise. By the time the camera arrived I felt like I had exponentially increased my understanding of its functions and settings, drastically improving its value to me. A worthy start to anyone's photography adventure, and a great companion to a new camera purchase.

The author does a great job of explaining these key building blocks to great photography. Start here if you are not extremely comfortable shooting in manual already. I don't have all day to sit around reading, and with this book I got the information needed so I could get out there with the camera quickly.

Another Al Judge, huge print book. It is very brief, thus the large letters. Would be 20 pages long without a large font. As to the content, my this is a beginning beginners book. If you know what aperture and shutter are, this book is too simple for you.

Al Judge, author or photography master? I say both, I have read a couple of his other books and they are all the best of the best. This book, Mastering Aperture, Shutter Speed, ISO and Exposure has taught me more than the college-level photography course I took over a year ago. This book should be the textbook for those courses. I was still unclear about many aspects of photography until I found this book. Of course, I took better pictures but I wanted to know what made them better. We can always better ourselves but if we don't know why or how, then we have limits. Al Judge takes away those limits and explains to the reader, very clearly, what kind of effect a certain technique or just a slight change would make to the final product. My pictures always seemed a bit "noisy", but by making better sense of ISO speed, Al has taught me how to correct that problem in such a way that I could actually explain it to someone else. I think that is the best way to judge a book, not just by how you interpret the information, but how you can relay that information to someone else. You can go through and read all of the reviews you want, or you can just buy the book and start taking better pictures right away.

This book clarified a lot of questions I had in regards to ISO, appitature, and shutter speeds. In am new to the art of photography and would recommend this book to others who are starting out.

The book is quite an easy read, easy to understand and straight to the point. I learned quite a few interesting things - how pinhole cameras work and the role of aperture, exposure and few methods of setting it right, reading the light diagrams and using them for setting the exposure. I'd also add to this book the formulae about the exposure that are available on Wikipedia and that express the relation between the exposure, aperture and shutter speed.

Good book to help you better understand the relationship and workings of these settings. After all why have a thousand dollar plus camera if you're just going to shoot on auto? Get this book and start shooting in manual mode,

Short and SWEET! Bought this for my daughter who is just getting into photography but I also found it very helpful. Zeroing in on the basics of exposure this book is a great, easy to read primer for just about anyone. The real-life examples were great! Would like to see more of those - maybe an entire book with these examples - illustrating various techniques. I'd much rather read a short book describing one person's approach than a large tome explaining all the options. The cameras today are techno-rich and a hard-to-get-through manual is something that sucks the fun right out of a inherently fun activity. Thanks for a concise, helpful (and affordable) book!
