Excellent book for teaching about Westward expansion.
A nice addition to my teaching unit on Westward Expansion. It is easy to read for 4-6 grade with about 30 pages from each perspective. Really cool resource.
I use this to support the topic of Turning Points with a fifth grade class. It wasn't easy to find something at this level that covered the Native American Indian side of this time period. Very eye opening for the students.
Great book for teaching perspective. It gives a clear informational view of the westward expansion. The book came on time and well packaged.
It was OK. I feel like for a unit on Westward Expansion, there should be more content. Although I get it, I guess.
This book was not informative at all. I wish I could get my money back.
I normally pre-read books before giving them to my 11 year old. I should have. There is a section on the abuse of Native American children where they mentioned sexual abuse. For a book geared toward upper elementary, that should have been edited out in my opinion.
